Rumors: Specs Leaked after Samsung Launches the Phone in Russia
Recently, Samsung had an event in Moscow that was called “Samsung Galaxy Alpha Regatta” by PROyachting. People are speculating that this is where Samsung released the new Galaxy Alpha. Actually, SamMobile (which is a website that follows Samsung’s activity) thinks that this event was meant to give an exclusive preview to a small crowd of people and to allow them to test the new technology.
We hear that Samsung will be announcing the smartphone next week in Russia and will officially release it on the markets in the month of September.
Regarding the release date for other countries than Russia, there are speculations about the month of August, the 13th of August to be precise. This information has not been officially confirmed.
As for the specs the Galaxy Alpha will come with, the market is expecting this handset to be powered by an octa core processor (Exynos) which will be backed up by 2 GB of RAM. The display will measure 4.7 inches and will render a screen resolution of 720p. The primary camera will have 12 MP, while the secondary camera will come with 2.1 MP. As for other features, we get a battery unit with a capacity of 1860 mAh, the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, heart rate monitor and a fingerprint scanner. The internal memory will be either of 32 GB or 64 GB.
