The hype and anticipation are building up fast for a new Samsung device. The new smartphone that will be released under the Samsung name and logo is presumed to be a premium version of the already released Sasmung flagship device, the Galaxy S5.
Since the S5’s release, Samsung has also released two other variations of the device, one being the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, and the other one, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. It seems like the new device has gather a much larger crowd of anxious fans, that can’t wait to get their hands on the new Galaxy S5 variant which for now, does not have an official, confirmed name. Several names have been rumored and used to refer to the device, the most frequent and popular of them being Galxy S5 Prime, Galaxy Alpha, and, of course, Galaxy F.
The Samsung Galaxy F will be placed somewhere between the original Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S5 Mini. It is reported through several sources that the new Galaxy F device will feature a clearly improved build quality compared to that of the S5, even showcasing a metal finish on its body. This, alongside the fact that it will supposedly come with a 4.7 inch display, place the phone in direct competition with another highly anticipated device, Apple’s iPhone 6.
The actual overall design and appearance of the Galaxy F still remains a misery, as the only visual samples available throughout internet websites and forums are some unofficial leaked images. There are strong reports regarding the manufacturing process for this smartphone, that claim Samsung is in search of a factory that can satisfy its requests for a smooth mass production of the Galaxy F, as no such factories are currently available in South Korea.
It’s a bit soon to discuss pricing, but early speculations pin the Samsung Galaxy F with a 600 pounds price tag, as its predecessor, the Galaxy S5, already costs around 500 pounds.
In terms of specifications, it is currently unclear what exact components will be featured, but rumors and reports have disbanded earlier claims that the device will come bearing a 2560 x 1440 resolution Quad HD display, similar to the one on the LG G3. More recent and likely spec configurations give it a 4.7 inch display with a 720p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, the Adreno 420 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. All these goodies are anticipated to arrive in a super slim package. The Samsung Galaxy F’s body is set to break the record for the slimmest smartphone in history, with only 6mm in thickness.
The Galaxy F will have all the features and functions you could previously see on the Galaxy S5, and on top of that, it will bring its own flavor, with a few minor upgrades.
