You would probably expect the new Apple flagship device, the iPhone 6 Plus, to come with some impressive specifications, given its hype and anticipation. However, you might be surprised on what kind of components are stored behind the premium build chassis. Most have believed that the device would come with at least 2 GB of RAM, as you could also see on some of the biggest related websites such as GSM Arena. Their website, among others, features the iPhone 6 Plus listed with 2 GB of RAM. This is seems to be inaccurate, as a leaked screenshots points to an iPhone 6 Plus that bears only 1 GB of RAM. It was PhoneArena that made the photo available. The screenshot shows the iPhone’s System Status app with an iPhone 6 Plus that features only 1 GB. In fact, it shows even less that 1 GB, 975.6 MB, to be more exact.
It seems that RAM was left behind and not upgraded from one iPhone 6 version to the other, which is not the case for some other features, like the image stabilization of the camera which was upgraded to OIS (optical image stabilization), a better battery unit, and of course, the improvement in terms of display, with a much larger 5.5 inch screen, compared to the original iPhone 6’s 4.7 inch display.
Over 24 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units have been sold within the first day after the launch of the device on the 12th of September, meaning that Apple broke records, as the fastest selling iPhone yet.
It also a known fact that iPhone models have always required less RAM than Android devices, so that might be why Apple chose to not upgrade .
Other specs for the iPhone 6 Plus include , the new A8 processing unit, an 8 MP camera on the rear and 1.2 MP in the back. with 16, 64 and 128 GB of storage
The other devices that fight to be the leading brand in electronics, such as Samsung and its Galaxy S5 . probably have a lower battery life, due to the topic in question, the RAM capacity, the size of which is far from important now.
