Realme C1 Gets ColorOS 6.0 Based on Android Pie 9 Update

Oppo and its sub-brand Realme are not known for their fast updates, but Realme’s newest ColorOS, version 6.0, will be based on the latest Android Pie 9.0.

Newly Added Features

Realme C1’s latest update began appearing in a few regions, carrying the build number RMX1811EX_11_A.54 (A.53 being the last beta update) having a considerate size of 2 Gigabytes, bringing all the new features showcased on the Android Pie 9.0. These features will include gesture navigation with a redesigned multitasking tray design, similar to those present on Google’s Pixel models, enhanced security features, adaptive brightness and battery, superior privacy options, and much more.

Realme’s OS update will not be the only addition to the phones, as they decided to deliver their latest security patch for June, the only downside being the exclusion of the budget smartphones.

Aside from the Vanilla AOSP features that came from Android, Realme managed to add a new pack that consists of bloatware such as a Riding mode designed for two-wheelers riders, a new UI for its onboard, several UI modifications for the notification icons and a few cosmetic changes to the default theme which will now include  an App folder at last.

Budget Phones arent Obsolete

A budget phone, but being kept up to date nonetheless, Realme’s C1 will not leave the budget smartphone’s stage as of now due to Realme’s involvement, an example for the other OEM’s. Being a redesigned Oppo A3s, the C1 was a success in the budget section, and Realme likes to keep it that way, keeping the device up to date, even though an Android Q update might never happen.
