Apple is very well known thanks to its premium products that are very well polished, almost flawlessly built and featuring perhaps the most stable smartphone operating system in the world. It almost seems too good to be true, so of course, there is a catch: The software is restrictive. There’s not much to customization, file management and modding options at all. Some users might feel totally fine with their factory stock smartphone, but for those who do want a change, here is a very good solution:
The solution
Chimera Jailbreak, one of the best jailbreak tools for iOS, has been recently updated with support for iOS 12.2, select iOS 12.3 betas and tvOS 12.2, as announced by the Electra Team on their twitter page.
Compatible devices
Chimera is able to jailbreak an impressive number of devices, ranging from A9 to A11 devices that run iOS 12.1.3 – 12.2 and all devices on iOS versions between 12.0 and 12.1.2.
The new Chimera 1.2.3 is now available on https://chimera.sh. It’s notable that iOS 12.3 beta 6 is not compatible with the jailbreak, even though earlier betas are.
ChimeraTV 1.2.2 is now available on https://chimera.sh too, adding further support for tvOS 12.2 on the Apple TV 4k. Users have to keep in mind that the jailbreak for the 1080 Apple TV is only supported up to 12.1.1
Those who install the jailbreak have to keep in mind that doing so might void their warranty.
