GTA 6 news: Location, Release Date and Others

GTA V was released back in 2013 and is still one of the most played games of today, smashing various sales records and featuring an extremely active player base in GTA Online.

However, after 6 years since the latest release of a GTA game, people just feel the need for more of the amazing experiences Rockstar delivers with their amazing games.

Leaks

It’s totally normal for leaks to appear as we’re talking about one of the most anticipated games of the following period.

All the details mentioned in this article are extracted from posts on Reddit. Keep in mind that those are just leaks / predictions, so there’s a chance that they might turn out to be wrong.

Location

It’s said that the new GTA game will feature two unique locations, one being Vice City and the other one being a replica of Rio de Janeiro, an idea that Rockstar have been interested in for a while.

There might be some missions taking place in Liberty City, but nothing big, maybe just something similar to what we saw in GTA V when Trevor went to North Yankton to uncover the truth about an old personal enigma.

Characters

It seems that Rockstar wants to ditch the idea of having multiple playable characters (like in GTA V) and focus on a single character, supposedly named “Kacey”, who starts as a cocaine smuggler and progresses to be somewhat like a Pablo Escobar of the GTA universe.

Accuracy

GTA 6 will presumably follow a “real-life economy”, just like Red Dead Redemption 2, featuring a solid timeline and changing seasons.

Release date

It is believed that GTA 6 will be released in 2020 for both current-gen and next-gen consoles.
