Gamers from around the world reported that tonight servers of Minecraft Realms are not up and running: Users say that they simply can’t connect to the servers.
Comments
Some panicked users began expressing their problems regarding the game on internet forums: “I can’t connect into a realm, help me,” says one user. Another one adds: “Same, when I was playing I saw a message that they are gonna do maintenance in 5mins. It’s been hours and I can’t connect to the realm.”
Not much is known about any sort of Minecraft maintenance scheduled for today, meaning that this is most likely an outage.
Mojang’s official status page hasn’t been updated with any sort of information regarding how long the outage and maintenance might last.
Official status
The service status displays everything as working adequately and no warning message was posted on Minecraft’s official social media accounts.
What to do
While this might sound a bit redundant, it’s recommended that players who have trouble connecting to the servers first check the Xbox Live service status (or whatever platform they are running the game on). If no issues are detected, players are advised to search for their error message or code and contact Xbox support for login help, according to Minecraft’s support site.
“If you are unable to connect to your realm, first see if we have announced any temporary issues with the service on our Twitter account Mojang Status.”
“If the services seem to be in order, and you are still not able to access your Realm, please contact support, describe your issue, and let us know which Minecraft edition you are using.”
These are the official responses of the developers regarding the problems.
